I now have a soft-sided rooftop cargo carrier full of dress clothes, winter clothes, blankets and fabric remnants.
If I were rational, or if the dress clothes hadn't been hanging uselessly in my closet for 5 years, I might have held off on packing them. But they need to be cleaned anyway, so a little wrinkling shouldn't hurt.
I've been feeling that way for a long time, Hec. But I think I'm stuck unless monkeys fly out my butt, to get Wayneand Garth about it.
last year we got out June 26th.
Holy crap! That's...that's...words fail me.
I feel ya, erika. I'd love to do something different. But between minor contractual things, and the fact that my (is it still called co-dependent if it really only goes one way? Whatever.) Mother would not Do Well if I were more than 25-50 miles away, I think I'm staying. Yes, San Diego is great, but something new might be fun...
Oh. Work. I should do some. Feh.

Really wish I could afford to be a SAHM, but I don't see Paul getting a 15k raise any time soon.

That's around the time that school usually got out when I was a kid. Generally sometime between June 20th and June 30th, anyway. I remember once or twice that it was the 18th or 19th, but not too often.
Phoenix isn't great. Not at all. I keep trying to find the great *parts* but it's not happening.
Late June, really? I was always out by Memorial Day. Of course, we started in August, which I understand is early. And no snow days, but occasional flood days.
Erin, last year we got out June 26th. That was late even for us. Ah, snow days...
My kids are getting out on the 24 this year.
