I seem to be in this strange little interlude in my life when everyone in it keeps showing me how incredible they are and how lucky I am to have them. (Y'all included.)

ION: I've been listening to random Christian CD's given me by a former co-worker, who said they were given him by some friend and he didn't want them. Two things:

1) Several "Burlap to Cashmere" songs sound eerily reminiscent of "Tenacious D" - not lyrically of course, but something in the sound. Very weird crossover in my head.

2) It only just occurred to me that the "friend" probably stole the CD's (either just the case or the whole car) - former co-worker is Vietnamese (and sort of has that "vibe" about him) and the only gangs on my end of town are Asian. I'm feeling a little guilty and really wishing I could figure out ownership to return them. Must closely examine the "homemade" discs for clues.

........aaaaand I'm done.

Except for the fact I have massive amounts of work left to do before the official last day on the 23rd. But no more teaching at WHS, ever.

I'm guessing the 23rd will be more cathartic.

Oh, the memories of listening to the Pixies in college. I swear, just THINKING about these lyrics brings the ghosts of spilled bong water and MGD Lite to me.

I think, as one of my on-going projects, I am going to refer my kids to the TWOP site, and tell them they can get points for intelligently recapping one TV show a week in that sarcastic style. If I get in gear and set up a homepage for my classes, I can post them for all to see!
