Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

LJ, it's likely this new position offers less benefits or pays less. A friend worked for a company which "downsized" him and hired someone to do his exact same job a week later only at a much lower salary, since they had way less experience.

How long has the position been open? Maybe they un-eliminated it.

They just posted the job today; I left on May 23. BUT -- even if they really did change their minds in the last three weeks, they have my phone number, you know? They could have called me and let me know they had an opening and asked if I wanted to reapply. Especially since when I was leaving, I said to give me a call if they had any openings at my level.

They had some issue with me. I wish they had just told me what it was.

(I left a message with them asking WTF. I figure they owe me an answer, at least.)

Oh, Hooray Cashmere. Lucky baby-on-the-way to have such a terrific family to be born into!

No. I was in the posted salary range -- I had taken a pay cut to work there. I probably would have asked for a raise at my one-year review, but they could have said no, and I'm not sure how much difference it will really make to pay a recent grad $26K vs. paying me $29K anyhow. And I didn't really have any benefits, I was never on their health insurance and had only been eligible for the 401(k) (no employer matching) for three weeks.

Like I said, this is all just extremely fishy and depressing.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Congratulations, Cashmere, DH, and big brother Owen!
