I'm watching it right now!
Where did I get that idea?
Probably 'cause I told you guys I quit. Which I did! But I gave them crazy generous notice. Because I am, like, really nice.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

YOU CAN'T BE JUST CUTE YOU HAVE TO BE, LIKE, REALLY NICE TOO?

"the wisdom of Nora's ass reigns supreme above all."
t glances fearfully at the sky
Listen to Nora's ass, for it is wise.
In my personal experience, Responding to "What are you doing?" with "I'm listening to your ass" is rarely taken as quite the compliment I intended.
I'm contemplating getting some water and then going to sleep. Also, in utterly unrelated news, I have a hangnail that is driving me mad.
Damn those hangnails and their Svengali-like mental powers!
Timelies!
Toto is having a rough time breathing this morning. I just called his doctor, but she's not in until noon today. I gave him some allergy medicine, and if he's not doing better in about an hour, I'm gonna call back. Poor little guy is really uncomfortable, though, and just keeps looking at me for help. It's breaking my heart.
Also, I just had to turn down *another* job offer. I swear, I only needed one! My friends and family that are looking for jobs should get the other ones! It is nice for the self esteem, though.
We overdid the jobma, didn't we?
Or something! I called my mom last night to tell her about the offer. Poor thing's been looking for a job since November. She was not overly happy for me, and a little frustrated. I felt badly and probably should have thought a little more before calling her to tell her. I thought it was a little funny, which is why I wanted to share.
It's weird, though. I must have mad interview skills or something. I have never interviewed for a job that I didn't get an offer for. I know that's gonna have to stop here eventually, but it's interesting to note and wonder about.
That was me
No, Emily mentioned it a couple days ago, but now that I think about it, it was in my LJ, so really, I wasn't making any sense.
David's still the fogeiest!
I'm fogier. I grew up before cable programming was a twinkle in Ted Turner's eye. My childhood shows are The Mickey Mouse Show, Howdy Dowdy, Pinky Lee and The Garfield Goose Show [link]

Attached to my doorknob this morning was a flyer pointing out the negative aspects of spanking in schools. It had pictures of bruised behinds, but the main focus of the text was not the physical abuse angle--though it did point out that it's a felony to do this sort of thing to an unwilling grown-up. The flyer talked about the sexual abuse angle, pointing out that it can arouse kids who may not know what to make of those feelings, as well as giving opportunities to people who get off on dominance games.
That's going to raise some eyebrows in this town. I doubt people expect to see discussions of spanking and sex with their morning coffee. Well, most people around here, anyway.

I remember Liquid Television, and Ren & Stimpy, but the rest of those shows are a complete mystery to me. We got by with just the 4 channels when I was growing up. Came in on the rabbit ear antenna, that got better reception if a cat was sprawled on the TV.
