Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm v.v. tired. Mom's more tired. We worked on the house. Forgot to take pictures, but I think I can get some tomorrow before we paint.
My grandmother didn't get her stuff out (I swear NO ONE has been helping her. I haven't been helping, but her kids -- not so much with the help). The carpet cleaners came, mom had to move stuff. Turns out that the ripped my grandparents 50th anniversary picture. The one that my uncle ended up picking up on the day my grandfather died.
Anyway.
We discovered that my grandmother was living in filth. That sounds bad -- but seriously her house was dirty, dusty, greasy kitchen, stuff everywhere. She can't see it I think and couldn't move stuff and get up to reach it.
And the kitchen looks HUGE without all the stuff crammed in it. I didn't want to take before pictures of that. But there will be pictures. Tomorrow we paint the ceiling. Friday the walls. And move in on Sat or Sunday---at least my bed, computer, food, and alarm clock. I can live without everything else. Well, I'll need clothes.
Askye, I'm sure someone can repair the photo if you check around. It's a shame it was ripped, but the rest of your news is very exciting. I can't believe you're so close!
~ma to everyone who needs it. I could use a little myself. A week ago I hurt the muscles in my lower back in PT. It's still hurting, thankfully not as bad as Susan's, but it's making it difficult to get much accomplished and I have a lot of work to do.
Oh also, there's a hot water heater in th ekitchen that doesn't work. It's in the corner (the real one is in the utility room). It's blocked in by drawers and the oven -- both of which can be moved out. So Mom has the ambitious idea of (at some point) building a piece to fit there. Just with plywood but anything is better than the wasted space.
Hello Lovelies,
Just sticking my head back in the door to say Hi (and Bye) after a hellish day (no concern necessary, just inordinately glad to be headed home).
Back, Recovery, New Home, and any other -ma's that I missed to all who needs 'em.
Yay to vw, Cass, and anybody else with yay-worthy news.
Won't be back before tomorrow or Friday - Still gotta finish Project 5 for Statistics. I sat down to start typing up the report part and realized that I did Claim 2 COMPLETELY wrong, so must to do over, then type up. Plus, oh yeah, the studying for the actual Final.
If anybody has any Statistics-ma, please send it SoCal-ward. Thank you much.
Hate to just post and run, I feel like a mole in your yard or something. Well, here's to actual conversations - after the semester's over.

All the best with your stats, Epic!
wrod. Longest semester of my life.
But, okay, I'm going to practice at home, and I'm going to give the classes -- and give myself -- at least a month.
Go you! It's tough to stick with things when they're frustrating, but then you'll be all rewarded with being better, yeah?
the newest jelly belly flavor (that is not a part of Bertie Botts, believe it or not) Roasted Garlic
Ew? I love roasted garlic, but...roasted garlic flavored jelly bean??
An entire pie and gummi bears is nothing to be ashamed of, as long as it's not (as I first read) an entire pie made of gummi bears
OK, that would be gross.
First rate paper, graduate level work in terms of the writing, organization, and overall mastery of research concepts
Rock on, VW!!
Have I purchased a maternity looking top???? I still think it's cute...
Well, it is a little...different. But if you enjoy it, screw them!
The back continues to slowly improve. I'm so glad we bought this laptop; otherwise I'd be going crazy here. And now that I have faith it's getting better, I can kinda enjoy the enforced relaxation. At least, I enjoy the part where I get to pass off on all diaper changes! Can't complain about having extra time to read, either. Though as soon as I can sit up a little more, I'm going to try to write and judge some contest entries.
DH bought me a cane. I never expected to own such a thing at the ripe old age of 34, but it helps a lot. And our neighbor is a deacon at our church, and she dropped by this morning with some frozen dinners from the church stash, which also helps a lot.
OH, and I think Annabel has worked out that I can't get up much. Every once in awhile, she'll just come over and stand next to me so I can reach out and hug her, and then she'll carry on playing.
