My biggest problem with that part is that most kids I know were reading at least a little, or knew their letters, by four.
Though I give it a semi pass for Sam's reaction.
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Yeah, pretty much with you there. Sam's spot on through the entire thing, and it made me flail. Also, wee!Dean is such a heartbreaker, even when he's punching kids in the playground.
I'm reading the crack fic now. I have a hard time believing in Dean's reaction to Sam at the beginning, and that he doesn't keep fighting longer. Still fun so far though.
because I've spent the last couple of days just obsessing (more than usual) about Dean as a semi-feral child
I love you. And I love that you're *still* thinking about this.
Well, it's not SPN, but would anyone mind helping me out with some work on QAFUS fic?
I'm posting a direct link here because I simply cannot choose what to excerpt. The Nikita writer has posted her personal memories of watching LFN (as part of a 10-year anniversary thing the fandom is sort of having).
No posting any replies or poking the fandom, okay? Keep the mocking here, if you please.
Oh, bless her earnest and heavily-thesaurused little heart...
Underminded?I know most fandom stuff sounds silly, especially if it's stuff you're not a fan of, and I could actually enjoy that show, as, enjoyable cheese or something. But I hope I don't sound *that* silly.
HAHAHAHA, oh, bless your heart, Dana. If I ever form a band, I'm toally calling it "military modish clandestine chic." A trifle long, but hey, it rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?
Was plasma TV even available 10 years ago?
Ignipes finished Cartography in Empty Spaces, which starts here: [link]
Amnesia!fic SPN gen emoporn, the best. ::sniffles::
Vonnie, I looked it up. Panasonic sold the first 51 inch plasma televisions in December of 1997. Earlier, 21 inch versions were available the prior year, but they weren't really plasmas, they just used some of the technology.
Edit: not 1996, but 1997.
