Sophia, the only bruise I had that prickled and had blood pooling in other places under the surface was infected (and involved a fair amount of edema, which hasn't subsided two years later). It took two rounds of antibiotics to cure, which messed me up for months.
I still have the scar from where my sister decided she didn't want to hold baby me anymore and just let go. She laughs when she tells the story. I think she was out to get me.

Well, I'm an only, and apparantly I have caused myself grave harm by falling over a recycling bin! At work!
Gee, and all I did when my brother was born is tell the neighbors that I had a sister.(I was 2 1/2, what can you expect?)
