Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Timelies!

My college is having a bomb threat. During reading period, which is really weird. So I am stuck in my office....

Also, I know I am always just delurking and asking questions, but I have a bruise question, since I rarely get them.

Last Thursday I fell over my recycling bin at work (it was very funny) and really banged up my shin. A few days later a bruise emerged-- purple and purpley red. It really looks like blood pooled up under the skin in a long line down my shin. Today the bruise has started itching like a mofo. Is this normal? Am I going to die of some bruise related infection? How long should the bruise stay? I haven't had a bruise in, like, 10 years, as I don't bruise easily.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think you need a small crockpot.

Yeah, I tried it in the large crockpot, and it wasn't good. A gummy layer of porridge on the bottom.

I discovered I could take the whole top off and go scrub it in the tub

Yes! And at the time, I had one of those hand-held showerheads, so it was great. Still, work.

Is the bruise hot, Sophia? If it is, I'd rush to the doctor. If it's not, I'd still go. I waited way too long on mine, and narrowly escaped hospital. It was still miserable.

What is even happening?

Oooh! Why have you not been evacuated? I think *now* would be the perfect time to get that bruise checked, and get the heck away from the bomb threat at the same time. Then, there should be ice cream.

Seriously, I do think you should get the bruise checked, or at the very least, call your doctor and tell her/him about it.

They still seem to be giving campus tours. But the road is all blocked off-- it is very weird...

Is the bruise hot, Sophia?

Well, it is more prickly... I didn't know if that was just it healing. I suppose I should call my doctor, but I doubt my boss would be happy if I left for a bruise. I think maybe he has Saturday hours...

I'm getting the pig!

I'm at war with every item of my clothing today. At least it is friday.

This.

Hi. It's snowing. Again.

Re the OC - my teevee informed me that (here in Denver) they'll be airing last night's episode prior to the regularly scheduled episode on Thurs. May 5th.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I discovered I could take the whole top off and go scrub it in the tub

I do this, too. I use oven cleaner on the tough spots.

Up with the sun

She was in the living room and looked up to see her oldest carrying the baby down the hall. She said 'where are you going' and he said 'i don't like the baby anymore, I'm going to put it in the trash' .

That hits me funny because it was apparently exactly the suggestion I made about my brother. According to my mom, I was very gentle with the baby before and after -- I just tried once to get rid of him.

You can't blame a girl for trying.

Sophia, the only bruise I had that prickled and had blood pooling in other places under the surface was infected (and involved a fair amount of edema, which hasn't subsided two years later). It took two rounds of antibiotics to cure, which messed me up for months.
