Cereal, but it doesn't fit the content of the post above:

Jesse? Batya Gur passed away.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Buncha nerds...

Worker absenteeism for last night and today's showings of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is expected to cost NYC millions and U.S. employers $627-million, according to The Globe and Mail.

[oof, bad post timing. Sorry about that.]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Batya Gur passed away.

So sad! I have heard of way too many people I care about dying of cancer this week. I selfishly hope that this means it's moving away from me -- from person I know, to relative of person I know, to author I like.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's hysterical. Also, they're pikers. I never missed work because of midnight LotR screenings.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Also, they're pikers. I never missed work because of midnight LotR screenings.

I admit I had to take a vacation day to drive to Indy to watch the LotR Extended Marathon. But I never missed work on account of other midnight showings of Star Wars or LotR.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I just saw a huge possum out in backyard. I didn't think they should be out this time of day. should I be concerned?

I can't even.

They should invoice George. That can help the movie lose money, on paper.

That's hysterical. Also, they're pikers. I never missed work because of midnight LotR screenings.

Word. I'm at work today and functional. Okay, I thought it was Friday all morning, but still, I got here.

I'm still trying to make a Batman Begins viewing plan. I don't suppose that'll be having midnight screenings.

Art Crawl!!!

Cashmere - you didn't have to take time off to view the day-long lotr marathon?

Because, the Chicago one started late Tuesday morning and ending early Wednesday morning. I took Wednesday off too. This allowed me to see a regular showing of RotK Wednesday afternoon.
