So sad! I have heard of way too many people I care about dying of cancer this week. I selfishly hope that this means it's moving away from me -- from person I know, to relative of person I know, to author I like.

I admit I had to take a vacation day to drive to Indy to watch the LotR Extended Marathon. But I never missed work on account of other midnight showings of Star Wars or LotR.
I just saw a huge possum out in backyard. I didn't think they should be out this time of day. should I be concerned?

Because, the Chicago one started late Tuesday morning and ending early Wednesday morning. I took Wednesday off too. This allowed me to see a regular showing of RotK Wednesday afternoon.
