Oh. Dear. I almost had a full breakdown in my advisor's office (or cubicle). My paper...the paper on the Buffistas and Bronze...the paper I spent HOURS upon HOURS and REVISION after REVISION on? It "wasn't what he was looking for." He made me promise I was going to do more work on the project as a whole before he'll complete grading it. 'Cause, if that was the finished work, he doesn't feel a high grade is in order. But, since I'm going to "complete" the project, he'll grade it higher.

I'm so nervouse to get this damn paper back now. I thought it was one of the better things I've written and really thought it was A work. Hey, The Universe?! Did you decide to fuck with me today? We haven't even been officially introduced!

Wait, he said all that and didn't have the paper ready to hand back to you? Because that would seriously annoy me.

Nope. He wanted to "talk" to me before giving it a final grade and making comments. And I am a bit annoyed...more scared than annoyed, though.

Just because it wasn't what he was looking for doesn't mean it's not one of the better things you've written. It's just not what he was looking for. I know this was a rough thing to hear, and you've had some rough days recently, but always remember how much I believe in you, and how capable I (and a whole bunch of other people) think you are.

You can do it, you just have to do more of what you did before. I know you're more than capable of it.
