I thought it was one of the better things I've written and really thought it was A work.

Just because it wasn't what he was looking for doesn't mean it's not one of the better things you've written. It's just not what he was looking for. I know this was a rough thing to hear, and you've had some rough days recently, but always remember how much I believe in you, and how capable I (and a whole bunch of other people) think you are.

You can do it, you just have to do more of what you did before. I know you're more than capable of it.

That's rough, vw. But when you were writing it you kept saying you wanted to do more yourself. He probably wants you to do more of what you wanted to do anyway.
