Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

'Get It Done'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Me neither, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a birthday party or any of the other themes suggested upthread...

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I just figured she wanted a party so she got one.

Trust my rage

I thought she and Spike were celebrating the arrival of the judge. Funny how we all had these different ideas

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Perhaps it's an unbirthday party.

Also, I just like watching Mark freak out. I don't think we were even this unspoiled when we were watching it the first time ... he doesn't even have the benefit of "next on Buffy" previews. It's very odd, and strangely endearing.

brillig

It's going to be fun watching him cope with moral ambiguity.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He understands and appreciates moral ambiguity.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I don't think we were even this unspoiled when we were watching it the first time

I watched Surprise/Innocence first run on the TV and I remember being baffled by the meaning of Angel's scream at the end of Surprise.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

indeed. AND I knew it didn't mean anything good.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Was the bit with the smoker in the alley at the beginning of "Innocence" instead of the end of "Surprise"?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Beginning of Innocence, IIRC.
