To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Perhaps it's an unbirthday party.

Also, I just like watching Mark freak out. I don't think we were even this unspoiled when we were watching it the first time ... he doesn't even have the benefit of "next on Buffy" previews. It's very odd, and strangely endearing.

I don't think we were even this unspoiled when we were watching it the first time

I watched Surprise/Innocence first run on the TV and I remember being baffled by the meaning of Angel's scream at the end of Surprise.

Thanks. I almost always watch them straight through together, so I didn't have a good sense of where the cutoff was.
