I always felt for SMG, even before anything came out. She just wanted to go to work, and then leave work and be herself! She is me!
I would not be against a BSG style reboot/reimagining. I like seeing different takes on the same material, which probably comes from working in theater. Seeing the same people with the same take is not that interesting to me, but, like Shakespeare, there can be a million takes on the same product.
Yeah, the way they are using "reboot" is confusing to me.
Revival might be a better word.
I'm I'm the middle of a rewatch and have the grandkid over today. She v
saw half of Primevil and Restless, thought itwas all birds but kept watching. Upon meeting Dawn, it was hate at first sight. I was so proud. I'm waiting for the Glory/Ben revelation!!!

I enjoy the comments in Oh No They Didn't.
And there's a Buffy reboot in the works (reboot of the remake variety, not a sequel or prequel).
I'm against it.
Things I am for about it -- while Joss would be an EP, Monica Owusu-Breen [link] would be showrunner and the lead slayer would be black.
I'm into all those parts except the remake part. Make it a sequel. Make it a prequel (with Nikki Wood in 1970s NYC). (Actually, I think I'd prefer a sequel. And I'm parenthesying myself to death)
I'm a little sad. It's like someone said, "Here's something you'd probably love, but it's going to screw up something you'll always love more."

Ooh yeah. I'd love to have it be about some earlier slayer, especially a black or POC one!
I give it a way less than 50% chance of actually happening, especially with the looming Disney merger.
Sure. They don't even have it cast yet, and no network is attached. Even if they shoot a pilot, there are no guarantees, but I still feel oddly bothered, which is dumb. It's not like I'd have to watch (but I would a little, at least at first).
Do you all think they could do a sequel? I'd love to see that. With more slayers in the world, it could be fresh, some new rules, rather than just a retread with updated dialogue, hair, wardrobe, and the addition of cell phones.
(If the apocalypse comes, beep me.)
The TVLine article says they're looking for a black actress to play Buffy.
