I would love to read a story from the point of view of the janitor(s) - the school probably went through a bunch. Anyone know of any fanfic?
Anya ,'Dirty Girls'
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Am I crazy or is there a lot missing from the Netflix version of OMWF??? I know it had to be cut down for syndication, but it's not like they need the time for commercials on this platform. What gives???
Google tells me I'm very late to this outrage, but holy shit, this is awful. I need to find my DVDs.
I know they cut out all of Dawn's dance.
What else is missing?
SO MANY THINGS.
Tara clipping the Lethe's whatever to her shirt in the beginning (so her looking it up later comes out of nowhere).
Everything in "I've Got A Theory / What Can't We Do" after Anya's bunnies solo - the scene just ends without even letting her finish the line "or maybe midgets."
One verse each from Rest In Peace and Walk Through The Fire, and Where Do We Go From Here. The exchange between Xander and Sweet where he decides not to make Xander his queen. (He just kind of...leaves.)
All the musical transitions are clipped and abrupt.
And it turns out I never bought S6 on DVD so this is all I have for now. FEH.
Oh man, that's terrible.
(But other than this, so far S6 plays WAY better on binge rewatch than it did in its first run. We are about to run full steam ahead into Magic-is-drugs territory, so I reserve the right to change my mind, but so far so good.)
S6 rewatch update:
Magic-is-drugs, still terrible. And now I'm mad all over again about what a strong arc this was when it started out and how quickly it went from scary to laughable when the writers started lazily copy-pasting in "spell" where they wanted to write "crack pipe". THAT IS NOT HOW METAPHORS WORK, WRITERS, GO BACK AND WATCH S1-3. OKAY SO THE PACK WAS A LITTLE ON THE NOSE BUT STILL YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN. (I mean ARGH you have the groundwork all laid out, Willow has been using magic to escape her feelings for YEARS, and it's not surprising that it would get out of hand in an addictive way, but ARGHHHHHHH.)
But she became White Willow in the end, and the magic was good again!
