Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Our wings are not tired.

At the time it didn't seem to me that Lee was actively suicidal so much as tired and thinking just letting go was not such a bad option. Not making an effort to end life, but not making an effort to stay alive either. Given the choices at that moment in time it wasn't so appealing to go back to his fracked up world.

As for D hanging outside the door I thought she was seeking an explanation to why Lee didn't answer her calls when he should have been able to respond.

insert standard "why can the good guys never communicate?" gripe

Yes, that. Maybe they will communicate better next week. t hopeless optimist

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

In the podcast, Moore says that there was a scene with Lee and D that was cut (that was before the D spying scene, I think). Also, some spoilery stuff that makes the scene we did see make more sense.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

but something similar, when you should be fighting for your life, but it's easier to just give up.

Despairing? Despondent?

Then I thought, "Is D in love with him?"
Don't forget their little moment o' sparring tension in "Flight of the Phoenix." Which was only a couple of episodes back, even though it feels like ages ago because of the midseason break.

And yeah, I think "tired" sums things up for Apollo. He's idealistic and everyone around him is getting darker and darker. Plus, he's kind of a doofus. Which might be Dualla's type, given Billy.

No, I can't forget that scene. It was hot.

Anyone gonna be watching HG Wells' War of the Worlds on SciFi tonight? It's not a SciFi production, but was (I think) to have been a theaticly released film. Don't know if it ever was....

It's supposed to be a faithful adaptation, set at the end of the 19th century like the novel.

Strega - Jan 14, 2006 1:28:32 pm PST #6499 of 10001

Huh, I hadn't heard about that War of the Worlds thing. I may check it out. It sounds like a good thing to have on while I clean. Or while I sit on the couch and think about cleaning.

I'd like to believe that Dualla could shake Apollo out of his emo phase. She did a good job on Adama, so I guess she's practiced at it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The ads I saw had C. Thomas Howell in modern clothing, so I think the above might be confusing the recent British period piece with a third nearly simultaneous adaptation.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Kind of cruel, though. I mean, your entire planet gets blown up, you're apparently the only person in the universe who knows how to work the damn radio, and then as a sideline you have to be forever chivvying Adamas out of funks? Poor Dee.
