I can only imagine what might have happened to Andromeda with another person in lead. Sorbo was lead like lead weight. And then he started exercising creative control...
When the shows weren't revolving around his anus, some were decent. And one, a clip show, was marvellous. Best clip show ever. Very little Sorbo, coincidentally.
I've ordered Farscape starburst edition dvds from deepdiscountdvds.
Sumi, do they have season 4 yet?
I watched the latest SGA---
I really liked this episode, I think the ending was a bit...abrupt, but overall it was really good. JF was fantastic, I don't think he gets enough credit for his acting. Rodney gets all the "omigod! my boyfriend just died!/I sent someone to their death!/I destroyed a solar system!" situations. Loved Carson's line about his date with Cadman, glad that it's going someplace even if we aren't seeing it on screen. So, overall, liked the episode.
I'll add another rec for Deep Discount DVD. They are pretty much my got-to for DVD purchases. They don't have everything, but they come close.
Among many other things, I got my non-Starburst FARSCAPE boxed sets through them - definitely the best price I'd seen for those.
I don't think season 4 is out yet -- of course, I am behind in my Farscape collecting. I still need season 3.

Well, Sorbo was a second strike against the show for me. I saw the promos and thought "Gee, they're parading Roddenbery's corpse again, and they've got Hercules playing the captain. Great." I believe you when you say it had some good stuff at first, but in retrospect I'm glad I never got involved and ended up outraged by Sorbo's shennanigans.

I was a bit 'meh' on the episode as a whole. Everyone was just a bit too dense. Hewlett and Flanigan did both get some great scenes though, especially poor McKay stressing over his lost boyfriend.
Jars--
this was a really good show case for JF. But some oft he ancient stuff bothered me. I thought the ending was way to abrupt -- Iknow John had been there for months but it just seemed like...I dunno too pat. Plus that guy's soul patch little not a beard thing distracted me highly. Loved John in the meditation scenes, I've only tried meditation a few times and that was pretty much my reaction. Could have totally done without the "I've seen since I was a child we'd have teh sex so i've been saving myself!" JF was very solid. The other little moments I liked were: Ronan's slight tactless ness at the end, Teyla figuring out the time ratio and plus she was there and even if Rodney didn't figure out she was on the same wave lenght about supplies and stuff he ended up sort of getting it. And if it wasn't a spoiler I'd make "MALP on a stick!" my tagline.
Kalshane, I think Roddenberry's idea was to have a captain after the fall of the Federation, trying to put it back together -- it was a Trek series in his head.
I wonder which species caused the fall, in the Trek world? Vulcans? Some group focussed on perfection.
