Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I need to put Night Court on my DVD wish list.

I'll probably be getting a few of the later seasons when they're released--the Markie Post years were the best overall, even if they are missing the incomparable Selma Diamond.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No, I'm pretty sure.

Dolor est fugax. Gloria perennis. Puellae cicatricabus gaudent.

Dolor=pain, fugax = fleeting. Gloria=glory perennis = lasts. Puellae=girls cicatrwhatev=scars gaudent = gotta be dig, at this point.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I see it now. Like I said, my Latin is largely ecclesiastical texts and Carmina. Carmina had me covered for "puellae," and the church covered "gaudent", "gloria", and "dolor".

The internet is weird.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

John Laroquette in Night Court = Hot.

I can't even.

Dolor=pain, fugax = fleeting. Gloria=glory perennis = lasts. Puellae=girls cicatrwhatev=scars gaudent = gotta be dig, at this point.

Yes. Glory is forever/endures.

Gaudent is "regard with pleasure/approval", good fit for digs, I'd say.

The translation isn't my work, but that of a friend who is a working latin teacher (and kickass Jeopardy/Millionaire player). I think it is a keeper. Words to live by (in the case of some of my friends, close enough to literally).

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

John Laroquette now = still kinda hot.

Still definitely hot.

Always Anti-fascist!

Even though Fielding= dick. I really liked the Larroquette show. Of course, dark, bitter and damaged is a laugh riot to me, so, duh.
