Yep. She has no problem with shipping characters (she writes Harry Potter and Star Wars fic, mostly), but when it comes to reading "drivel" such as a romance, I guess it's beneath her. Really disappointing, because she really is one of my favorite HP ficcers.

I always use metaphors to teach stuff that people aren't getting when I describe them literally. It usually works, and when it doesn't at least it gets the students laughing. At me.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
We're watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame AIFG. I haven't liked a lot of earlier ones because I'm not a big awards show fan, but now TiVo lets us fast forward through the dull or cheesy parts so it's really fun to watch. Chrissie Hynde was wonderful and now, after an AMAZING speech by Bruce Springsteen, U2 is kicking ass.
