Weekend plans?

Lay low -- I'm very broke. Hang out on line, watch tv and/or dvds.

Ohh, I think that there's a Derby prep on tv tomorrow.

Also, have an emergency board meeting (online) tomorrow night -- but it's a happy not a sad emergency.

Now, I'm watching something on BBCA called "Rockface" -- it appears to be something kind of soapy revolving around a group of people who run some sort of rock or mountain climbing outfit.

And I should say that we're not being inundated with snow, but our weather still sucks -- in fact, weatherbug showed me that the temps for the next three days are going increasingly lower. Well, the "high" is staying at the freezing point and the low is getting lower.

It's not supposed to do that this time of year!

<smug westerner>It is beautiful out today. I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and I'm just now starting to think that maybe I should close the windows.</smug>

This weekend I am cleaning my damn house, since I have temporary water, and aiding and abetting in any way I can the good hard-working folks who are here to give me permanent water.

Also, I am toying around with house plans, planning vacation (Tucson!), and catching up on office work for next week. However unexciting, these are things I haven't been able to do for a while, so I am catching up.

Also, I am eating meat, since I broke Lent yesterday in a fit of pique which is now being addressed, see above re: water.

It's in the mid-seventies outside here, for God's sake. It's nuts. (Of course, we also got to have the Official Declaration of Drought yesterday, so, er, I suppose I should feel a little guilty about enjoying the sun.)

Ooh, and I got actual volcanic ash on my car from St. Helens this week! I mean, not a lot, but it was there.

Tonight I am going to my last dance class for a whole week! So I'd better make that good. Then I need to pack. I might possibly hang out with some family in town. I'll be sad for a few minutes (from 10:00-10:15, perhaps) that I won't get to see any buffistas this weekend. Not even the new honorary buffista, ita's apartment. Then I'm going to hang out in the airport for a whole big bunch of hours tomorrow, and perhaps figure out how to use that free wireless internet they keep talking about, since I'll have about five hours to kill. Then I will be flying to NY. Where I will get to see my kitty cats! Yay! And my family! Also yay! The rest of my plans are rather amorphous and dependent upon other peoples.

But I will be sad to leave all the PRETTY PRETTY weather we've been having for the crap ass weather of the NE.

Even though it is above freezing and fairly tolerable, if rainy, out. I'm just tired.

You know what I hate? I hate when my body gets into a mode wherein food is gross. I eat because I don't want to turn into a headachy, whiney, sick emotional mess and because last I ate was a cheese stick 8 hours ago, but then I get to feel queasy while eating and for a good couple of hours after. Ick.

I'm all excited because I'm home in time to see the TLC Friday night shows the first time around, so I don't have to stay up til 2 am. Phew!

Now tomorrow I can get up bright and early to study. Yay fun. I will also put CDs onto my computer. It's kind of occured to me that it would be like launch.com, except slightly less random.

Drive to the mountains with sister, niece, and niece's friend, ski two days, come home exhausted and broke with no clean clothing for next week.

There may be beer in there. And sunburn, if the weather holds.
