Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I gotta admit, I would've totally assumed Shrift could write BSG, because I assume Shrift can write everything. Except for RPF. And Stargate.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I wasn't suggesting one was wronger than the next, just that both are wrongheaded.

I'm working on something right now that involves this woman who had 8 children over a 26 year span. I actually know this woman - a tiny wee thing - the thought of that scares me.

What is even happening?

I still think Clinton is hot, even since his heart surgery.

Clearly, once your number of fandoms passes 15, people just assume you write everything!

Well, it is more like 30 these days. My god, I'm a media whore.

You write Sting/Stewart Copeland slash, right?

I even have vids!

I gotta admit, I would've totally assumed Shrift could write BSG, because I assume Shrift can write everything.

Aw, thanks! But like Stargate, I do not watch BSG.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

A friend introduced me to this game [link] this weekend. I will henceforth have no time to socialize, sleep, or eat.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I still think Clinton is hot, even since his heart surgery.

Me, too. Every once in a while, when I'm having an attack of the Uglies, I remind myself that I'm Clinton's demographic: smart and chubby. And then I feel better. No, seriously.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have overplanned my next month or so, so naturally I can't sleep. Because that really helps. I woke up, and wondered why I had so little e-mail and there hadn't been many posts here.

Because it was 12:50am. I was so damned *up* it was ten minutes before I checked a clock. Or looked out the window. I had to read for an hour (yay, Neverwhere!) to unwind enough to sleep again.

I'm kinda sleepy, and faced with more moving, a post-work meeting, and teaching. Checking my calendar I have one freeish weekend between now and the 16th of April.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
