There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

What is even happening?

Heee.

They'll just have to black out the airwaves for those hours, because there isn't anything family friendly to show, in the first place.

I wish there were more all-ages, quality shows with good stories, that I could enjoy with my kids, rather than merely tolerating while they enjoy. But that's a creative thing. It's not what most people want, and it's not what the artists seem to want to be making. Restricting the grown up stuff isn't the right way to get that made. That just pisses off the people who don't want to watch general audience sorts of shows.

If we want to actually enjoy something we're watching with our kids, we rent a video.

Maybe Joss will want to make a general audience show in a few years, when his sprog are older.

Did Kai have baby number two, yet? Does anyone remember when she's due?

Big scary surf update - the Mavericks Surf Contest is going on today. Think anyone will notice if I start watching the pay-per-view feed in my office today?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This has been known to happen as writer/creator peeps' kids grow up.

Yes, and we have Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones to show for it. I hope Joss sticks to adult programming.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That has more to do, imho, with his inability to hear or discern the word "no" anymore than with his kids.

Let's think more along the lines of Sesame St. to Muppet Show to Fraggle Rock.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Let's think more along the lines of Sesame St. to Muppet Show.

Except Jim Henson is dead.

He was the Joss of kid's TV.

Also? Elmo has totally ruined Sesame Street.

I always thought Animaniacs was a good general audience show. Entertaining for kids, but a sizable chunk of the jokes were aimed squarely at adults.

And I agree that Henson is a very good example of doing it well.
