And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I appreciate an hour by public transit is a long commute.

An hour is totally average. I mean, it's long, but it's not unreasonable. This girl needs a reality check.

Duchess Loretta

You'd have to restrict yourself to only starring in stuffy period porn.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm getting confused, too, Cindy. So we have one missing intern who slept in, one missing intern who was told to sleep in, and - are there any others missing, AFAWK?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes interns wander out into the snow and their bodies aren't found until spring.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I think it was Lyra's intern who slept in of her own accord; my student was told she could; and the rest of us are at work but not fully awake anyway.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I never knew interns were such trouble.

Coding and Sleeping

Are they just sleeping in, or are they being sacrificed to appease demons? I'm getting concerned.

It's sorta trendy in demon circles these days to have interns, as the demons find it amusing to send the interns out for coffee.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wright houses are notorious for leaks and so on -- Wright loved working with exotic and "new" materials, like the cast concrete blocks of that house. He was not a very good structural engineer. Even so, it's taken 80 odd years for the LA house to come to this....

Lil' Kim jury got strict instructions yesterday not to buy any of the raunchy rapper's CDs - or listen to HOT 97 during her perjury trial. "It's not a good idea to form any opinion about the music that you don't already have," Manhattan Federal Court Judge Gerard Lynch said.

Do you think this means it's okay to listen to Power 105?

Up with the sun

Cindy, I was reading too fast and confused Jesse and amych. I think. I seem to be having a confused day.

An hour is totally average. I mean, it's long, but it's not unreasonable. This girl needs a reality check.

One would think, yeah. But then she's from Korea, and I have no idea what the norm is there. (Though, I suspect calling in sick because you slept late is a no-no in any culture.)

Are they just sleeping in, or are they being sacrificed to appease demons?

Good point. I smell hellmouth.
