Don't kill anyone if you don't have to. We're here to make a deal.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I can't even.

Deena, how about Dan Simmons' Carrion Comfort? The novel itself is kinda weak from all the stuff he added to make it book length, but the original short (novella?) was really tight and creepy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This was an inspection that goes with an offer? I don't think I understood that.

I agree with this assessment entirely (novella great! Novel not), but it wasn't about vampires.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Anne - they are negotiable. It is up to you ( with the realtor) to decide. Depends on the market. For my sister's house - they tossed every bid with contigencies, because they had 12 by opening bid day. We bought out house with some contigencies - because It had been on the market for two whole weeks with no bids ( strange in this market) So it all depends. good luck

and welcome Mallory James

"My drink preference does not indicate my sexual preference. "

Sorry Deena... it was a title similar to that... I have the book somewhere in my shelve, give me a second and i'll fetch it. I only have about 450 books.

but it wasn't about vampires.

No red capes or bitey-bitey. But them's vamps.

ETA: typical blurb from the weeb:

If I only had a brain...

George R.R. Martin's magnificent Fevre Dream; Steven Brust's Agyar; Kim Stanley Newman's Anno Dracula...

I don't see it. They were controlling others telepathically, not feeding off them. If there was anything resembling life force stealing, I don't remember it.

YVampMV, of course.

I'm getting the pig!

I like Dan Simmons Children of the Night for the sci-fi approach.

Seconded!

the original short (novella?) was really tight and creepy.

Loving JSw and -t right now.

The wireless thing must totally be my fault

Apparently Perkins is only the Nice One when she's IN LA. On vacation? NSM.

I have no idea if this is bad, good, to be expected, or what.

Anne, I've only purchased a home once, but it sounds fairly normal.
