Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Here's another fun one on how to parent to avoid gayness:

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I KNEW he got in, Kristin!

For quite a long time, women resisted the feminist call to play sports, since they just weren’t interested like men were. But this didn't sit well with the feminists; they felt this was the fault of male oppression. In the name of “equality,” feminist leaders poked and prodded and pushed women to join the games, until women in droves finally succumbed to the pressure.

Those meany feminist! Forcing all those women to be healthy and shit. In the good old days we EMBRACED those nice humps the old ladys grew (well, those that survived giving birth ten or fifteen times), they were SWEET. Why must the old ways die?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Weakened marriages and divorce are often the result.

I read this as weekend marriages, and I wondered when Britney had started playing sports.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Cindy, I'm sorry about your s-i-l. I bracket you.

On women in sports, I was just reading an article in BUST today about women in baseball, and the woman pitcher who struck out both Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig in the same game. My kinda woman.

Ahahahahaha.

For those of us who believe we should train our daughters according to Titus 2, 1 Peter 3, and other Biblical passages

"Train"? Dude, you're going to wake up one morning missing an essential part of your anatomy.

6. Psychologist Robert Stoller said, “Masculinity is an achievement.” In other words, “growing up straight isn’t something that happens. It requires good parenting. It requires societal support. And it takes time.”

In other words, all boys wants to be gay and it's up to you to make sure Bobby grows up straight.

???

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I must have skimmed -- is that from the same article? So women playing sports ALSO turns little boys gay? Who knew we had such power!

No, it's from the Bad Parenting Makes Boys Gay article, sorry.

edit: I wonder if the author is like Queen Victoria, who refused to acknowledge that lesbians existed. Otherwise, where do they come from? Too many Daddy-Daughter events?

That's right gay men are the result of good parenting. Apparently, good parenting also makes gay women. I guess it all evens out.

If I only had a brain...

In other words, all boys wants to be gay and it's up to you to make sure Bobby grows up straight.

This seems to be the position of a fair subset of columnists -- everybody would OBVIOUSLY be gay if they had a choice in the matter, so it's your job to impose heterosexuality on a reluctant substrate.

Cause girls? Both icky and confusing.
