Simon: I, uh... I never-never shot anyone before. Book: I was there, son. I'm fair sure you haven't shot anyone yet.

'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What do you all think of this lampshade? [link] Or, more importantly, what do we think Emily will think of this lampshade?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

However, hearing Muzak versions of Duran Duran and Cyndi Lauper still freaks me out.

Weirdest Muzak version I ever heard? Kenny G. Because -- WHY?!?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was once in a store that was playing a dance remixed version of the South Pacific soundtrack. It was the most brilliant thing I'd ever heard.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have a strange fondness for Muzak. I like weird covers of songs, and sometimes Muzak hits the right surreal bizarreness for me. (eta: I love the lampshade and cannot imagine Emily objecting to it)

Now tagless for your comfort.

You'd think they'd notice something like that.

I thought it was just for shipping purposes. My coffee table and end tables came with the knobs on the inside (so they didn't scratch anything). But these morons couldn't understand that the armoire fucking needed to be opened from the OUTSIDE.

It's the little things like this in life that make me want to throttle stupid people.

And of course it's nearly five so the office isn't going to return my phone messages. If they're not on the phone with me by nine a.m., they can come and pick this damn thing up and shove it up their asses.

Compassionately intolerant

Open until the 12th of April.

The 'you're screwed' email goes out to the reservations after that list tomorrow. I've already fielded lots of those phone calls. It's painful to say the least.

Plus? We have people who've been coming for years and years actuallly crying on the phone.

Sheesh.

The nutbars came for an inventory of the household last week. I vanished.

Plus? This month is the highest grossing month in the history of the house. Ever. Which means a) I rock as a manager. b) this was such a bad plan.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Love the lampshade, vw.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think Emily should love the lampshade.

I like the lampshade, but I have a weakness for shiny bead things that dangle and catch the light.

Cool. Well, I can always send it back if she hates it.

Also, FINALLY FOUND BRAS AT TARGET! What's so difficult about cotton underwire bras? I've searched for a week for them! Then I remembered that someone here said that Target is wonderful for bras.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Love the lampshade.
