So, typical fandom behavior, then?
Yeah.
Thanks Kessie.
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Bwah. Joss is in my neck-o-the-woods. He's a brave man.
The sequel thing came from somebodies LiveJournal (not Warren & chums). Unfortunately, and not entirely surprisingly, they got the wrong end of the stick. I'm not sure how far the rumour did the rounds, but if it was any length it's my fault for mentioning it on Whedonesque.
...Huh, I didn't even realise there was confusion over the "1", I thought I was just joining the crowd. We Eugene Browncoats took on the Portland Browncoats in kickball on Saturday, which we thought was quite a fitting date for a gathering of Browncoats. But it meant we couldn't join the Seattle Browncoats for the Big Damn Anniversary shindig to which they invited us.
Can I use the word Browncoats more times in one paragraph?
(Oh, and Eugene won! go team us!)
Oh, and Eugene won! go team us!
Does that make your team Browncoat Ducks?
Go Ducks! Still giddy over the football team's win this weekend.
Rolling in Kittens
snerk.
And yeah Ducks! I think we have enough Browncoats here to play tennis. Doubles even.
Does that make your team Browncoat Ducks?
Well, we have a lot of Beavers, too.
Well, we have a lot of Beavers, too.
My condolences.
Here's a question. I see many posts online from people saying fans have to keep faith a Firefly type project will reappear again. Is that a requirement as a fan, or is that what defines the term Browncoat?
I'd say I don't see how faith and Firefly go together, but I suppose that's what the show was about.
Not big on faith, myself, of any kind, so I don't see it being necessary. Mind you, I've never called myself a browncoat, so maybe it *is* a good definition.
So, did anyone see the HD episode yet? I'm :ahem: acquiring it, though not having an HD TV, nor, it would seem, a PC that's fast enough to show the thing anyway (have I reached *that* point of the PC cycle already?), I doubt that I'll get a chance to watch it for a long while.
I identify as a Browncoat and I have no faith that the verse will continue except in comics.
