In "Objects in Space", in the scene in which we get to see things from River's point of view, Kaylee is the only one who doesn't seem to radiate something completely different to River than the words she's actually physically pronouncing at the moment.
This is half true. Anyone see her giving River the skunk-eye right when Simon says, "I would be there right now"? I liked how they snuck that in there. She doesn't have a
lot going on under the surface, probably the least next to Jayne, but she's got something.
Yeah, I noticed that too. Sneaky way of showing that Kaylee does have some conflict going on that she doesn't express.
I loved those little quick cut-away shots to show what a character was really feeling. They didn't do it very often - I think only here and in the pilot with Inara - but it was really effective.
The Flick Filosopher has named this week "Serenity Week" on her website! Today, she has a caption-naming contest (prize is a hat and T-shirt).
Who is this Joss Wedon that Time interviewed? ;)
