Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Sneaky way of showing that Kaylee does have some conflict going on that she doesn't express.

I loved those little quick cut-away shots to show what a character was really feeling. They didn't do it very often - I think only here and in the pilot with Inara - but it was really effective.

But I haven't met anyone in Rochester who is a fan! Where are they and why don't I know them?!?

Also, I think Nearmiss is the first ever Buffista in/near Rochester. And I have been a Buffista since 2000 or 2001 (started in the Buffy 5 x 5 and by Five We Mean Porn) thread.
