But I haven't met anyone in Rochester who is a fan! Where are they and why don't I know them?!?
Also, I think Nearmiss is the first ever Buffista in/near Rochester. And I have been a Buffista since 2000 or 2001 (started in the Buffy 5 x 5 and by Five We Mean Porn) thread.
Yeah... kinda wish I hadn't read that.
Now I'm all verklempt.
Does anyone know if any of the actors are going to appear on any talk show(s)?
I wanna see Jon Stewart interview Joss....
I have thought about it, and there isn't anyone involved I don't want to see Jon Stewart interview. And Alan Tudyk is right there in town!
I really REALLY want to see Joss on Bill Maher. With Jon Stewart.
So what else is opening on Friday? I think Cronenberg's
A History of Violence
is the only other possibly big movie opening on the 30th, unless I'm forgetting something. (Has
Oliver Twist
already opened?)
Over the last weekend,
Flightplan
was the #1 movie, with $24.6 million, and the only other one above ten mil was
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride,
at $20.1 million.
So I'm crossing my fingers that
Serenity
will be the #1 movie this weekend. All the preview showings will count for the first week's box office too.
Yeah, but will they even add up to a million dollars?
Yeah, but will they even add up to a million dollars?
I don't think so, but every little bit helps.
Chase Masterson to interview Joss Whedon. The former Star Trek-star now host and producer of Fandom Radio is interviewing Joss on today at 4pm (PT)/ 7pm (ET) on www.thefandom.com
Yeah, but will they even add up to a million dollars?
I'm figuring more like a quarter mil if the last total number of screenings I heard was accurate. But, hopefully thousands of those early attenders will be dragging friends to see it and buying tickets to multiple showings themselves.
