I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

How sad. Although, I must admit that the trailers I've seen online are not as comprehensible to me as I would like, and I'm head over heels in love with the series. However, I had chalked that up to small screens and crappy connections. The ad on tv looked wonderful to me. Seriously, I fell for Malcolm Reynolds all over again in about two seconds.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Me, too, libkitty! I fell for him again at "I'm not armed." "Good." Bang!

I'm afraid that I'm going to go home, pop in a videotape from Angel Season 1, and see a Serenity ad on it...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I do think it's a little bit busy. There's so much going on and the letterboxing doesn't help. But it's not bad, not at all.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm wondering how the mainstream critics will treat Serenity.

Your tag here.

I'm wondering how the mainstream critics will treat Serenity.

Sometimes I fantasize about Serenity pulling in $100M the first weekend and the Eberts sit up and say "WTF?".

I don't think it'll get quite there, but I'd expect a neat-looking space movie to crack $40 million opening weekend without several hundred thousand dedicated fans who'll pimp it to their friends and see it again and again.

Matt, why don't you think it'll get there? Not being adversarial, just curious. I have no hope at all, myself, just because I want it so much.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

I would be very surprised if it didn't do at least 15mil at the US boxoffice in its opening weekend. Add to that the boxoffice from the rest of the world, and this will easily make a very good profit for Universal. A trilogy (at least) is in the bag.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I have to agree with evil jimi but, I think opening weekend will be closer to $20mil and the second weekend will only have a 25-30% drop off.
