No LA premiere for me - jury duty and not enough points. That said, I'm still happy because Serenity is coming to Juneau on September 30th. Not to be repetitive, but yeah!

I keep wondering what the average movie-goer thinks of the trailer. I can't divorce myself from the investment I have in the show. The trailer is certainly different.

One of my co-workers who hasn't seen Firefly but has heard me talk about it saw one of the ads (the one with "And they're the good guys") and thought the movie looked funny. She's going to go see it and said that funny is what Star Wars has been missing, so this should get some people to see it.
