OK. So I'll put this in the "go to the doctor if it doesn't go away, but ignore it for now" category. Which is good, because I don't think I have any time to go to a doctor before Thursday anyway.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Today I have 100 pages to read in the most depressing book ever.
My vote for that honor is McTeague, followed by Ethan Frome.
I saw a television show with a segment about crows. They showed a parking lot where motorcycles frequently parked. The crows had discovered that there was often food in the motorcycle saddlebags and they were opening them and checking for food. It was amazing.
Hil, I've had that happen just from allergies. I've had a couple of eye infections and with those the eye was painful and sensitive to light.
House of Sand and Fog (And keep in mind, A Year On The Killing Streets makes me smile.)
McTeague ends with the protagonist handcuffed to a dead man in the middle of Death Valley. (Spoiler fonted in case anyone takes leave of his or her senses and decides to read McTeague.)
I've found that hard to top in the depressing category.
Timelies.
...okay, that's pretty much all I've got to say.
Good luck with the depressing reading, vw.
Jessica's new apartment is cute.
Yeah, that's it.
I just closed my old checking account. No turning back now! the financial merge is complete. Weird.
Raquel has a new tag.
2. I used to be cool. But you SUCKED it all out of me.This, of course, is the appropriate response, 10-12 years in the future when they start complaining, "Why can't I have cool parents?"

This, of course, is the appropriate response, 10-12 years in the future when they start complaining, "Why can't I have cool parents?"Yes, and with a little tweaking, it's useful a good five years before that, in many situations. Examples:
Why don't we ever have any money?
We used to have money, but we spent it all on you.
Why do you like to sleep so much?
We used to have energy, but you SUCKED it all out of us.
beathen, all the best to you in your job hunt. I hope you find something so great, you'll wish you left current-job long before.
