Does anyone want an aging, cranky dog and a gimpy, middle-aged dog and a recalcitrant, evil cat? I've had it up to my eyeballs with the pets, right at the moment.
The cat, of course, keeps shitting in the hallway.
And today at noon, when another bum (yes, B-U-M, NOT a little kid) knocked on my door to "shovel the drive" in spite of NOT carrying a shovel, the dogs went crazy with the barking (yes, it's their job and I appreciate that they scared the guy). But it also woke the baby 20 minutes into a much-needed, and much-abbreviated nap.
Then this morning at 3 a.m., in our bedroom (where the whole freakin' pack sleeps beside our bed), Mac took exception with something Sam did and growled, snapped and BARKED VERY LOUDLY. Loudly enough that the baby, who sleeps three feet across the hall with an OPEN DOOR nursery heard and woke up.
And wouldn't get back to sleep.

But then, ever since Lindsay Lohan released a pop album and got a boob job, I can no longer support her in the Lohan vs. Duff War without quinges of guilt, due to the sudden influx of disrespect. Maybe I should just switch sides entirely.
Or I could just do the smart thing and say that as far as pre-legal blonde actresses go, Evan Rachel Wood deserves all the respect.

I'm am SO freaking tired, and really must leave for school soon. My shrink increased my new anti-depressant last week, and I can tell it's starting to kick in. It's making it impossible for me to sleep. Ugh. Oh, well. It'll even off soon. I hope.

I skipped my only class this morning. Usually, I can only come to that decision with a lot of worrying whether I should go or not. This morning, I just decided that I truly needed to sleep more than go to class. I'm sort of proud of myself.
I just spent 15 minutes on the shelf above my computer.

Skipping 260 posts to request paperwork/work~ma for a co-worker who is on a forced leave of absence. Thing is, we have to pass fingerprint checks, re-done every 3 years, in order to do this work. Every three years his gets held up so long that wherever he is working has to take him off the schedule until it gets straightened out. Apparently this is due to a minor offence (of a kind to be expected from an aging hippie such as himself). Which he had expunged from his record before getting into this field sixteen years ago. Usually it takes a week to clear it up, this time he has been off work for 3 weeks.
The guys at the group home miss him, they are constantly asking when he's coming back. The rest of the staff miss him. Bosslady begged her bosses for an extension for him, because she doesn't want to lose him. He's a good man.
The schedule is blank this week where his name usually is. It would be so great if he got his paperwork today so he could be back to work tomorrow.
