I just saw her yesterday! She showed me her scar - much smaller than yours and already pretty healed.
That bitch. I must have the world's largest scar for this particular surgery.

She's all better except for some soreness and stiffness
Totally normal, and taking short walks (~5 min. every hour or so) really helps with that.
and already off the drugs too.

It was nice to have her non-drugged up self back, 'cuz she was in an absolute haze for the last month.
I remember that haze well. Or, rather, I don't. Hell, *you* probably remember it better than I do.
Oh, and on a random tangent, I know it isn't exactly short hair, but I thought of you when I was posting the headshots we were considering for my writing web site--a bunch of them are all hair up and back.
Heh. Well, every time I see your card I have exactly the same two part reaction. Damn, she's pretty. When's she going to get a haircut anyway?
But if I got a haircut, I couldn't put my hair up like this!

I'm willing to make that sacrifice if you are.

Speaking of haircuts...I DESPERATELY need one. I really want to get one before Emily's birthday party so I don't look all crazy.

Poor Hec. Missing out on the beauty that is long(er) hair.

That's true. In between haircuts you all tend to look mentally deranged. That's bad as a style statement.

Well, to be honest, she's got way more experience with drugs than the both of you combined. And not in the pharmacological journal way. So it was a bit more important for her to get off, if you know what I mean.
I could use a cut, too, but that means a trip to CT.

But the surgery worked? She's pain-free, then?
