Stop that right now! I can hear the smacking!

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah. Good point. I could drink it for her.

It's a win win!

Could you use that (limited number of available DBT therapists) as an argument for BCBS to cover this? I mean, I'm not a big fan of BCBS and they are a huge bureaucracy and therefore not flexible, but they might have some rules in place for specific therapy needs.

I'm hoping.

Does there seem to be something screwy with a health care system that forces you to deal with opaque bureaucracy at exactly the times you are least able or interested in doing so?

Yes. Very, very screwy.

On a related note, I remembered yesterday that I had a packet from Social Security Disability that needed filling out to keep my benefits in place. I pulled it out to take a look at it. It's due back to SS by January 9. It's about 30 pages of paperwork. I need to attack it today. Thing is, it is so totally and completely overwhelming. The last time I had to fill this out, we hired a lawyer to take care of it, 'cause I just wasn't up to it. Unfortunately, that ended up costing $1,000, which I don't have right now, so I'll be filling it out myself. Here's to hoping I find the energy and don't screw it up.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Feh. Up early and stressing about work. Apparently I have to go in and do some. Who thought up this capitalism crap anyway?

Hec, how's your minion, post-op?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

vw, in lieu of therapy perhaps you could walk over to Nora's house every night and stop her from having that fifth beer.

Seriously. However, the 5th beer (as well as the 4th) took place at a bar in Davis called the Sligo. Beers #1-3 were consumed at Redbones.

Argh. I stayed out too late because I was catching up with an old friend. I was drinking beer because it was delicious (Casco Bay Winter and Guinness). Why must delicious beer turn on me like that?? I love it so!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

vw! *mwah* If you need help with the ass-kicking of BCBS, let me know. I'll be happy to help. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this crap.

Timelies, folks.

I wish I could help more, vw, rather than just providing moral support and less-than-helpful suggestions. But here's heaps o' moral support anyway!

(I'm carefully trying to not jinx my own relationship with BCBS as I need it to stay good for the next year or so)

Monday is for hangovers. That's the whole reason we HAVE Mondays.

I so appreciate the moral support. I need lots of it, so thank you.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

{{{vw}}} Feel better, hon.

Hi Kristin! Your Christmas card is sitting on top of books in the bedroom so I've been looking at you and your husband and your menagerie a lot this week.

Hee! Oh, and on a random tangent, I know it isn't exactly short hair, but I thought of you when I was posting the headshots we were considering for my writing web site--a bunch of them are all hair up and back.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, how's your minion, post-op?

I just saw her yesterday! She showed me her scar - much smaller than yours and already pretty healed.

She's all better except for some soreness and stiffness, and already off the drugs too. It was nice to have her non-drugged up self back, 'cuz she was in an absolute haze for the last month.
