Oh, that's a bummer, Lilty. Oh, well...next time.
Steph, that's going to be much fun! Tell her I said hello.
I really need to make coffee. I keep going to do it and getting sidetracked. See, this is why I need coffee or possibly ritalin.
Drusilla ,'Conversations with Dead People'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yes, absolutely. And soon!
ION, I finally have the Wicked soundtrack. There isn't a synopsis, but from reading the words, I can only gather that they've changed the book a LOT. Which isn't a big deal to me, but it'll make following along tricksy.
Anouncement: I get to have pancakes with Sean this morning.
Analysis: Yay.
Announcement: I am going to make pancakes for DebetEsse and me this morning.
Analysis: I am teh awesome.

Yeah. I thought that what they did with it made it work as a musical in a way that trying to follow the book exactly wouldn't have, but there were a ton of things changed. (The one thing that I did wish they'd kept in was the clock at the beginning , though I think that they had it in some earlier version, because it kept showing up as a theme, in the sets and some of the lines, but it wasn't there to make the theme make as much sense as it could have.)

Yep- I think that following it exactly would have made for a very long and clunky musical. But what I'm wondering is if Elphaba dies, because I don't see anyone cast as Dorothy, and I don't see how that scene could be possible without her .
Maybe she just doesn't sing?
Lilty: Dorothy is refered to, but only appears on stage as a shadow.
Ah. That's actually kind of cool. I think I'm going to just enjoy it for what it is, rather than as an adaptation of the book- my favorite part of the book is the forgiveness/atonement theme, which doesn't look like it's so much the focus of the show.
But I heard Defying Gravity and it rules. Off to listen to the rest in the car. I've been summoned to Mom's house. She's got me a surprise. I can only imagine...
Hmmmm...interesting. I was wondering that too, Lilty. Thanks for answering, Hil.
I get to go see Wicked in March. I'm SO excited. We don't have great seats, but it should be fun anyway. I just hope Emily doesn't have to strangle me because I keep trying to sing along!
I'm not having pancakes with anybody. t pouting with Lilty I am, however, having hash browns with sausage. And I've got coffee and my internet peeps. Life is good.
