This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Timelies!

My roommate is gone for two days, and I've got them both off from work. And I have coffee. Life is good.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies. I have no coffee. Or pancakes. Or people with whom to have pancakes. I do, however, have Kashi GoLean blueberry waffles. And a strange need to construct sentences awkwardly in order to not end with a preposition. Neither of these quite compensate for the lack of other stuff.

Mostly lurking...

I get to possibly have pancakes with a bunch of Somervillains today, so there. Or, we may just eat the homemade bread and ham that DX is bringing. At any rate, there will be Somervillains, and there will be eating. Life is good.

For now, though, I'm eating poptarts. And soon there will be coffee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You should have, Lilty cuz then you could be sitting in the "people should be jealous of us because of our day" corner with VW and I.

Did I mention I get to see Victor and Thessaly later?

Aw, man. I would, but the train doesn't take plastic and I spent my only play money until payday on kickass clearance Buffy boots.

Pouts. It's sunny, too.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Morning, peoples. I've actually been up since 9-ish, reading HHGTTG and the first 3/4 of Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I had Cheerios while I was reading, but I really need some protein, so I think I'm going to scramble an egg or two and then finish cleaning my apartment, b/c SA is coming to Cincy tomorrow evening! She's staying with me tomorrow night, I'm taking Tuesday off work to hang out with her, and then she's heading back down to school Tuesday evening.

I forsee sushi, fannish squeeing, and many stories of her travels.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I had toast. And I'm not going out, although the streets are just about clear now. Right now it's gray and just above freezing, so the ice is falling off the trees and whacking the roof. I'm just as happy I didn't try to go out yesterday. My neighbor did and apparently couldn't get back up the driveway and abandoned his car with about two feet sticking out into the street.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have banana bread in the oven. Or muffins, sort of, since I used a bread recipe and cooked it in mini muffin tins. Kind of an experiment - I used a fat-free banana bread recipe, which is actually pretty decent, and substituted maple syrup for half of the sugar and then threw in some dried sour cherries.

I've come to the conclusion that I am constitutionally incapable of following a recipe.
