Fuck. Emmett's Mom called. He's been running a fever of 103 and she's had a hard time bringing it down. It just dropped down to 102 so he's not going to the emergency room at the moment. Poor little guy. I hope he doesn't have the flu I had two weeks ago.

If he is awake I suggest a bath tub. Adjusting the water temp up and down helps keep you comfortable and being in water is less dehydrating
But that was me as an adult with 104. Fevers were much worse when I was a kid - bedspins and I could see the room grow and shrink in the dark. Freaky. on the other hand it taught me how to deal with bed spins ( mild ) Look out a window and find a fixed point to stare at until I fall asleep.
