Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

~~~~anti-fever ma~~~~ for the bestest blond-headed boy I know.
I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister
Health~ma to Emmett.
ION, AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! This week has been from hell!!! But I'm done now. I go to see the niece tomorrow... And the mother, father, brother, and SIL. But, NIECE!!!!
Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.
Hooray for Daniel--those are some good numbers.
Yay for Ginger's new hair.
JZ was indeed a vision in her honeymoon corset. I can't get to ANY of the pictures, ofoto hates me, but I remember well from DC. I think my favorite JZ picture may be in the Gallery, of you looking back over your shoulder.
Raquel, I'm so sorry about the family stuff about the baby. I agree with those who've said he'll have a willing cadre of Buffista aunties and uncles.
Yay for Gloomcookie's niece, and for vw's first day of class, and K-Bug's cute bf and her practicalness of dressing for the prom. And yay! for Prom!
And fever-breaking and feel-betters to Emmett. Flu is not fun.
Hokay, having caught up, I am now off to bed.
Oh--Betsy? Is Mithraism the same thing that ... words eluding me. There are or were Greek urns with pictures of young men and women vaulting over a bull. Is this the same or an offshoot of Mithraism?
Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.
Watching victor and thessally read their poems. Fabulous. The coffee at the coffee place. Fabulous. The decision not to order decaf. Might have had me all awake for the drive home, but me still awake now so only marginally fabulous.
Still... Tonight's insomnia was worth it. I just tapped Ambien to come into the ring and it's gonna be quite the battle tonight in Cass' brain. Ammmmmbien versus cafffffffffiend. They've got costumes too.
Just be sure to send me film clips of any and all Bloom/Farrell nekkid scenes as a token gesture.
Which as token gestures go? Steller.
You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.
billytea, I'm very pleased you attracted a woman type without resorting to lekking. Good on ya, man!
Well now, I don't recall promising that lekking wasn't involved. And 'attracted' is a bit strong. She sat next to me because that's where her brother was, and I didn't get any vibe beyond 'interesting conversation' from her. Still pleasant, though.
Ok, I didn't lek. My brother, OTOH, lekked until 3 am.
I hope Emmett's over the fever soon.
Oh--Betsy? Is Mithraism the same thing that ... words eluding me. There are or were Greek urns with pictures of young men and women vaulting over a bull. Is this the same or an offshoot of Mithraism?
That was from the Minoan civilisation in Crete. I don't think there's any indication of a direct connection with Mithraism, but the bull figures in myths about Mithras too, so there may have been some sort of link. Or it may have been coincidence, both cultures finding the bull to be a potent symbol.
Now tagless for your comfort.
Get-better-ma for Emmett. I really hope the fever broke and he doesn't have the flu.
If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there
It sounded very nice BT, and I totally get how that sort of thing can be uplifting without being anything major or anything to pursue.
Emmett, poor Emmett. I meant to comment last night after looking at the NillyTour pictures that I can't believe how much he's grown. Feel better, kiddo.
I think Horse and His Boy is my favorite of the Narnia books.
Topic!Cindy - Jan 27, 2005 3:06:18 am PST #7593 of 10002
What is even happening?
Oh poor Emmett (and poor Hec, who has the worry, even though the boy is elsewhere). I hope he's better, soon.
...
lexine, be very glad this [link] isn't your daughter's prom dress.
(Somebody tell me that's photo-shopped--it's got to be photo-shopped, right???????????)
Polter-Cow - Jan 27, 2005 3:09:37 am PST #7594 of 10002
What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!
Cindy, I think you've scarred me for the day.
We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie
Cindy has scarred me as well.
I think Horse and His Boy is my favorite of the Narnia books.
Mine too!
ION, my back is killing me right now. I need a full body hot stone massage STAT. I also wouldn't say no to a manicure/pedicure. Ah, what the hell. I should ditch work and go to a day spa.
