Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Sparky!

My mail was held while I was away for the holidays, but I've picked it up now and how fantastic is my gift? Pretty fantastic. Not only is the necklace lovely, it's on a ribbon so I can set the length, which is so useful for a short chick like me. And I love the ornament, which is funkily Buffista and has been given a place of honor on my computerside bulletin board, right under one of my Buffista business cards.

Thank you so much!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

As much as I love being blamed for 'em, I am not the perpetrator of the business cards. It does make me happy that they've made other people happy, though.

Our wings are not tired.

Whee! I am home from the great snowy north and found in my mail stacks an envelope from C. Kritsanta. Precious turtle earrings and necklace were found inside. So sweet. Thank you C. whoever you may be.

Er, have I completely humiliated myself?

Why yes, I have! Well, not quite. But I had skipped right past the handle to the name. Sparky! Lovely necklace, pretty ornament, thank you very much, will go back and fix original post.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Speaking of belated thank-you cards, I have yet to write a single one for Christmas. I should probably get on that, huh.

Um, thank you cards? Eek!

Librarian Warlord

Katie! You're welcome! I'm glad you liked the necklace! I almost liked the ribbon as much as the glass, myself, so I have an extra length of it.

I cannot believe how long it took to get to you! They didn't even try to deliver until the 27th!

I am wondering which Beth sent Kate her gift.

(We share a name and a profession -- very co-inky-dink!)

Resolution for 2005 - I will never, ever, ever, color my hair myself again. Never. Ever. Really.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I learned this lesson the hard way on my 16th birthday, Toddson. Angela on My So-Called Life had the red hair. It was a thing. There are pictures. Shudder.

Because books.

Nonian, I'm so glad you liked it! And I'm glad you're home safe, too. I'm still sorry it was late, though -- next time I have to pay more attention to going-out-of-town announcements.
