Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Dude. Just got an email from the producer. Nordstrom would like to treat me to a manicure and a facial on Sunday.

This is so cool.

edit: Connie, I think he's related to Linda Evangelista, the supermodel with the eyebrows. Actually kind of a cool name.

Oh, I'm sure it's cool and all that (never heard of the supermodel, sorry), but--well, I'm waiting for Carson to come flouncing out of nowhere, waving his hand and saying, "Now, *this* suit is from the collection of Mr. Evangelista, and you'll love it."

Sorry.

I'll go back to my snickering ill-mannered corner, now.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, well, me too. It's a little fabulous, hmm? Somebody please make my brain stop with the earworm of "If you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain," Etc. I don't even know where I got it. CG is right. My brain is scary. Seriously, some of the first songs I ever learned: that one. "Margaritaville" "Me and Mrs. Jones" No wonder my life resists all things average.

Trust my rage

I just got back home after three weeks and I have to say that AmyLiz is the greatest and most patient Secret Santa ever. My poor present has been here for almost three weeks and now that I finally opened it, I'm lavishing it with love.

I have an awesome Christmas CD that I'm loading on my iPod now, and a beautiful copy of Jo's Boys (Louise May Alcott). I'm actually pretty excited about reading it because I loved Little Women, but I've never read any of her other works.

ETA: Oh, and I just opened all my Christmas cards. Thanks, Sail, for such a beautiful card!

Heh. Only reason I know about her is because she was on Letterman or Leno or someone a few years ago, and I kept blinking at her eyebrows.

Not javachik

yes, yes, it got here! I am writing the thank you note today! I swear!

I think that this is the thank-you thread for holiday presents (still wondering if some things mailed have arrived, myself). It works for senders and receivers, is a good place to get ideas for next year, and where you can get a warm glowy feeling in your heart for all Buffistas by reading about others' exchanges.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Woo hoo! I have Lush goodies courtesy of the lovely (and hopefully headache-free) aurelia. Chocolate Whipstick Lip Balm, which smells so yummy, and a Butterball Bath Bomb, and a Floating Island Bath Melt...I need to go home right now and take a bath.

Yay! I'm glad part 2 finally made it. Enjoy your bath, Maria.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have been terribly slow in posting this because my secret santa gift arrived just before I got sick. My Secret Santa (who a little bird told me is the lovely SA) sent me three boxes of one of my favorite brands of tea. I love Whittards tea and I have never found a place to buy it near here. I can usually only get it in the UK, and I had already run out of the ones I bought on my last trip. I will be hoarding and savouring my lovely tea. Thank you so much!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Speaking of belated thank-you cards, I have yet to write a single one for Christmas. I should probably get on that, huh.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Yay! I'd been wondering if it had arrived in a timely fashion, as I mailed it out a month ago. The same little bird told me you were fond of tea, and I thought, "What better country to get it in?" I'm glad you like it, especially that it's your favorite brand.
