I feel the same way. S0, but... tell me if my understanding is right (or why it's wrong). Like, technically, should Mark (recurring guest star) be whitefont in here, because he's existing character? And Nick is ok as blackfont because that's a new character? I don't provide links enough to really worry about it too much, but I do tend to triple check before I post anything with even the potential for spoilage in the wrong place. (ETA: Or, probably I just post it in Spoilers, because I'm lazy like that.)
Spoilage Lite - The Return
[NAFDA] The place for casting and other vague spoilers, for those who merely want to wade, not drown, in the spoiler sea. Episode titles, writers, and preview speculation in black font. Exiting cast, TV Guide and other entertainment articles and their discussion white-fonted. Hard core spoilers are not allowed.
I thought that the vote was about having Nick and Jason in main thread because they aren't recurring and leaving Mark here.

Yes, me, too. And it is. I should just stop talking. It doesn't really matter and I'm just confusing the issue, because with Nick, I was talking pre-vote results. Post-vote, I hope he would be in-thread. He wasn't even the question, really -- just there for comparison.
Even after the vote, Mark should be in here. (The slug here is really what I was asking about -- should Mark be whitefont in here because he's recurring?)
according to the slug, yes. he should be.
Is the term guest star defined such that Mark Pellegrino isn't it? I don't know what the line is between recurring and guest.
This does make me realise that Genevieve coming back for The French Mistake--not spoiler. But that's seriously the only one that makes me blanch.
I guess I'd always taken it that a pre-existing character should be whitefonted. I mean, my interpretation may be other than what is intended. I confess I haven't read the slug in here for a long time until probably yesterday. I sort of, well, just figured I was right in what I thought, ha! Guidelines? I don't need no stinking guidelines!
I haven't read enough to know if Pellegrino is playing the original character or not.
Ah, OK, well that's a point. I was just assuming he was; well, and hoping, if I'm to be honest. For my particular level of wanting to stay pure, seeing him in blackfont is fine. I also don't know where to draw the line with him.

See, I think this is where it's open to interpretation and because the show's characters thought she was returning as her original character. I wouldn't have posted it black even if the new spoiler rule passes.
Dean thought she was Ruby at first. That's recurring enough characterization.
I realize I couldn't pull anyone into Bureau over it, but personally I'd air on the side of caution and I'd pout in a post before shrugging it off.
