Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
It's not the same team taking her back as fired her. The showrunners are changing in the interim.

Yeah, but it was my understanding that CBS/ABC studios forced the showrunners' hands last year.
But Erica Messer who's been a co-runner this year is going to be running the whole show herself because Simon Mirren just announced a couple weeks ago that he's leaving and Ed Bernero has a new show in development.
Also, in reading between the lines, I'm getting the distinct impression that they're hoping Paget's comedy pilot for Fox doesn't go to series, since they seem to have every intention of picking up her option to return.
The sticky wickets at the moment seem to be Shemar and Thomas, since their contracts are up at the end of the season and they're currently in negotiation.
