“Not dead yet!”

I know. So much for "creative decision." It's all about the money.

Fuckers. I'm not feeling very generous to the CM execs. They better not wrap up her story by fridging her. Damn it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm sure she'll decide to go home and be stay at home mommy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ehab and I are on the same terms. I actually might stop watching the show if that occurs. I'm serious.

ita, I'm sure you know that scenario is not BETTER just equally bad.

“Not dead yet!”

Paget just posted on Twitter: "I should clarify. I am immensely grateful. I'm still angry about AJ. I'm sad this is my last year."

Not ON, CBS. Not ON at all.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I expect I'll stop watching when Paget leaves.

It isn't that I find it so offensive that the producers might have had to make cuts for financial reasons or even if creatively they might have had a great storyline that resulted in a character death, but that they would treat the women of CM as expendable. They seem to think they're easily replaced; that they were somehow less integral to the show than any of the male characters. Gah! This whole situation makes me so angry.

Well, I'd argue that if that's the direction they go, it's at least not as if it would be completely out of left field. They have shown her struggling with that choice more than once and it's not as if it's a case of proving, yet again, that a woman can't have it all. After all, the very nature of their job is so emotionally draining and as Hotch once said of her, she goes home, wondering if she's made the right choices in terms of the cases they pursue. Of course, because it is something they've shown her struggling with, I wouldn't be at all shocked if they go a completely different direction. Watch-- Will will get an amazing job opportunity overseas or something. If they make it where they take the choice more or less out of her hands, then that will be a massive cop-out.

I have a slightly different take on it I think. I feel like quitting to be a stay at home mom, while a perfectly valid choice, in JJ's case would diminish the character. The baby was unexpected in her "storyline" and she's been presented as a go-getter with a team sports past. She loves her job. For me, with this character, leaving her career behind would be the cop out. While an overseas job would be an easy out, I'm better with that than the two other options we've discussed.
