ita, I'm sure you know that scenario is not BETTER just equally bad.
Well, I'd argue that if that's the direction they go,
it's at least not as if it would be completely out of left field. They have shown her struggling with that choice more than once and it's not as if it's a case of proving, yet again, that a woman can't have it all. After all, the very nature of their job is so emotionally draining and as Hotch once said of her, she goes home, wondering if she's made the right choices in terms of the cases they pursue. Of course, because it is something they've shown her struggling with, I wouldn't be at all shocked if they go a completely different direction. Watch-- Will will get an amazing job opportunity overseas or something. If they make it where they take the choice more or less out of her hands, then that will be a massive cop-out.
I have a slightly different take on it I think. I feel like quitting to be a stay at home mom, while a perfectly valid choice, in JJ's case would diminish the character. The baby was unexpected in her "storyline" and she's been presented as a go-getter with a team sports past. She loves her job. For me, with this character, leaving her career behind would be the cop out. While an overseas job would be an easy out, I'm better with that than the two other options we've discussed.
I wonder why they couldn't have just
had her decide to take a less active role - possibly not in the field while the baby was so young.
That seems like a realistic decision that somebody might make.
I'm not sure that meets their goal of replacing her with someone new and cheaper.
Well, it could involve
changing to a different team - given that any one position isn't necessarily open in any given team,
you know?
Supernatural episode title 6.01 "Exile on Main Street".
No need to white font, Sumi.
I just read that Janeane Garofalo will join the cast of the Criminal Minds spin off. WTF?
Of course, the first time I read it, I didn't see "spin off".
