Re the "24" spoiler. By "term", they could just mean an appearance, not that he gets to be president again!
Which doesn't seem that big a casting spoiler to me.

Well, it's more that given the lack of familiar faces so far this season, I think seeing anyone from a past season is big news, and especially if it's Haysbert.
shrugs
As a casting spoiler, I don't think it's inappropriate here; if that's what it sounded like I was saying, my bad.

No, not at all. And I see your point about the lack of familiar faces.
jon -- I thought what you did -- but didn't want to spoil myself further by reading the article.
FTR the article goes on to say which episodes, but also mentions that the "how" is being kept under wraps.
On 24, It's not really a stretch to imagine any living characters making appearances. And I'd expect that Haysbert would be contacted by current prez for unofficial consultation and advice. They probably have a good relationship considering he practically handed him the office.
On edit: I should point out that there are some spoilery bits about possible plot developments.
Drat! Now I have to try the show again. I have only watched small portions of 2 episodes, one of which involved karaoke, and was unable to get interested.
I'll try and read a synopsis somewhere before trying again.
Yeah, but Wolfram (24) am I remembering wrong (I might be--I watched season 1 over the summer, and am watching season 2, concurrently with season 4--season 3 was the first I saw in real time and I'm all confused) or didn't Palmer practically hand him the office, because he had dirt on Palmer (well on Sherry, and crew)?
Cindy, IIRC, Sherry gave the current prez (memfault) the dirt to begin with. Palmer could have tried to kill the story or ride out the scandal, but took the high road instead (after making too many stupid decisions to count.)
