WRT the Heroes premiere, it also suggests that the series took the summer off. I'm trying to think of how many shows do that. Buffy leaps to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

My memory was that BH 90210 actually had the summers ON, as in the season ran into the summer with episodes of the characters during summer vacation.
