...This just in: new archaeological evidence that Hannibal invaded Rome on the back of a tricycle. Contrary to almost two thousand years of history, which recorded Hannibal's steed of choice as an elephant, this revelation will shake the foundations of classical scholars everywhere.
Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
It might be that good of a cock.
Just might. Hey, I'm a Vin fan. I just haven't seen him do anything that puts him on the same tier as Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon or Serpico.
Not that Al could play Riddick...
Dude, I forget that was Lumet. No fuckin' way. (/Pacino partisan)
Am I the only geek that finds the idea of a Hannibal bioepic fun? (In spite of the horrible events that were "Troy" and "Alexander," I still love Greek and Roman history.)
Or maybe I just want to see VD riding a war elephant. Which is a pretty good description on me PMSing, so maybe I'm just impaired by 5 years of Latin coursing through my Diesel lust-addled head.
Am I the only geek that finds the idea of a Hannibal bioepic fun?
No. And that goes double if they get the costume folks from Troy.
FYI, Vin Diesel's on Letterman tonight.
Hannibal would have the added bonus of not having a gay relationship motif for Hollywood to piss me off by erasing. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Mr. Aniston!
I like Vin, but stopped watching Boiler Room after 20 minutes despite the lure of Scott Caan's ass in a simulated sex scene later in the movie. Apparently I can only stomach watching stockbroker types if there's a good chance that Christian Bale is going to dismember them later on.
But! But! Giovanni Ribisi and Nia Long!!
Not to mention Ben Affleck trying sooooo hard to do Alec Baldwin's Glengary Glen Ross speech. So fun to watch.
I seriously do adore that movie. But here's the interesting thing about Vin on Letterman -- he's talking about his age like crazy -- that he was 30 years old before he did anything in Hollywood. I wonder if it's part of trying to be taken more seriously or something?
